Gentle Storytime In-Person

 

Gentle Storytime (formerly Sensory Storytime) is for children of all ages and abilities who flourish in a peaceful environment. It is unlike other storytimes in that it caters to children who may have hearing or other sensory sensitivities. Children who may need a slower pace because English is not their first language may also benefit from this storytime. We use a visual schedule and repeat certain elements each week to help kids feel secure. We also limit attendance to try and keep children from feeling overwhelmed.
